Jinny is a self-taught naturalist and bioacoustics expert with over 20 years of experience in working with the natural world.

As a passionate advocate for conservation, she now leads development for Biophonica and The Listening Planet’s extensive audio archive, which spans 60 years of wildlife and ecosystem recordings from around the world. Jinny uses this auditory legacy to raise environmental awareness and inspire change, making her a sought-after collaborator in the music industry. She works with international artists across all genres including rap, electronic, folk, and rock to create innovative musical projects that celebrate and protect the natural world. By weaving the meaning of natural soundscapes into music, she helps bridge the gap between art and the environment, encouraging listeners and creators to engage with nature in a deeper way.

Beyond her musical collaborations, Jinny has spent the last 15 years working with renowned natural history filmmakers, and her passion for the environment has driven her to take direct action in conservation. She currently manages rewilding projects across the UK, focusing on restoring ecosystems to their original vitality, reviving biodiversity, and addressing climate change.
